Cloud Cuckoo Land

Cloud Cuckoo Land are an interdisciplinary ensemble who put children at the heart of the story. We create warm, playful interactive performances and installations, full of live music, sensory surprises and technical wizardry. We transport audiences on magical flights of fancy to discover distant lands and new perspectives, giving them a sense of ownership, agency and optimism. We work closely with children, parents and teachers in deprived areas of Birmingham to create pieces which represent their experiences, ideas and concerns. Our recent children's theatre productions include Ding Dong, Ariel On The Cliff and What Big Eyes. Our interactive installation commissions include Constellations (Interface Symposium / Symphony Hall), Sensory Street, Dooville and Technicolor Town (Birmingham REP) and Elmer's Swamp (mac Birmingham).
