Chicken for Linda!

Originally and more poetically entitled “Linda veut du poulet!”, this French-Italian animated film is already scooping up awards for the Best Animated Film and Best Children’s Film at award ceremonies all across Europe.

With the young Linda uninspired by her run-of-the-mill life, mother Paulette promises to make amends by cooking her favourite meal, despite not possessing the requisite skills, know-how or even ingredients to start. Fast-forward, and we’re stealing chickens from a farm and wondering if it’s ok to cull them with a handgun in the kitchen.

Tenderly exploring the mother-daughter bond through beautifully simple animation and a sweeping score, Chicken for Linda is a treat for us all.
