Coventry Music Hub Presents: School of Rock + Live Music

Wednesday 27th April, 2022

Drapers' Hall | 17:00 - 19:40

CineCov Mini Fund programmer, Coventry Music Hub, launches its debut film screening with a presentation of the Jack Black classic 'School of Rock' at the refurbished Drapers' Hall in Coventry.

After more than 30 years being shut, this impressive Regency hall in the heart of historic Coventry has been repurposed and reinvigorated as a venue for music and music education.

The night will begin at 5pm with a live performance from one of the Hub's young Live on Stage bands to get you in the mood, followed by the main event.

School of Rock is a comedy about a Dewey Finn, who after being kicked out of his rock band, becomes a substitute teacher of an uptight elementary private school, only to try and turn his class into a rock band. It's a fantastic family movie with a great line up including Jack Black, Mike White and Joan Cusack.

Coventry Music Hub is the major provider of music activity to children and young people across Coventry and delivers their programme in partnership with schools and regional arts organisations. Coventry Music strives to support schools, raise standards and to provide an inclusive, diverse, rich and balanced programme along with opportunities for training and development. Naturally, they will be putting on movies with music at the heart, with their film season including School of Rock for younger children and Pitch Perfect for older care leavers/teenagers.
