Flatpack Festival
Film, and then some

Josephine Foster

Thursday 2nd May, 2019

The Glee Club | 19:45 - 22:00

Now Flatpack is not strictly a music festival, but when the stars align and certain performers are available during our dates then we'll happily flag down the tour bus and see what's possible.

Such is the case with Josephine Foster, a one-of-a-kind singer-songwriter whose creative purple patch has continued with her most recent double album, Faithful Fairy Harmony. Foster's Colorado background included operatic training and funeral singing, and her otherworldly voice remains the central thread in a zigzag trajectory that has taken in twisted folk, Lorca poetry, old-time ballads and Schubert lieder. This special solo set is one of a handful of UK dates.

Earlier in the day the Electric will host a one-off screening of Black Moon chosen and introduced by Josephine Foster.
