Short Film Competition: The World to Come
When you think of the future, what do you see?
Self-driving cars? Or AI replacing human relationships? Films like Their Eyes and Neither God Nor Father show that these futures are already here, although not in the way you might think. We Made Telephones offers a world of stalled technological progress via mid-20th century propaganda and advertising. While Please Make my Wish Come True presents us with welcome wishes for a brighter tomorrow.
Huge thanks to Matchbox Cine for providing Descriptive Subtitles for all six Short Film Competition screenings.
