The Birds

Thursday 15th May, 2025

Birmingham Botanical Gardens | 18:30 - 23:00

Psycho was a pretty tough act to follow, but Hitchcock knocked it out of the park with the tense, Technicolor masterpiece The Birds.

It’s easy to see where the ‘Master of Suspense’ accolade comes from, as he turns our innocent feathered friends into horrifying monsters (although, anyone who’s ever had a run in with a gaggle of geese along Birmingham’s canals doesn’t need to be told twice that birds are dangerous).

And where better to screen the original ‘when nature attacks’ movie than the beautiful natural surroundings of Birmingham’s Botanical Gardens.

Before the film we’ll have killer tunes, food and drink, and a few surprises to keep tensions running high. We’ll be joined on the night for an introductory talk by Rebecca McCallum (Talking Hitchcock Podcast), offering insights into the film’s towering legacy while you settle in for an unforgettable night.
