It’s always a good idea to take some time to reflect. It doesn’t matter if you’re remembering how a single day changed the course of your life, or looking back on why the world ended…
A blend of stop motion animation and live action, Electra takes place on the day of the titular character’s 10th birthday. We see the cake, the party, slowly starting to uncover what’s not being said, and how these events will echo through Electra’s adult life.
Our second film How to Please follows Wed Al-Asad, an Iraqi immigrant hoping for Asylum in Finland. After years of filling out forms and finally starting a life there as a top chef, he may find the only thing harder than getting into a country is getting out.
Rounding things off is It Was So Beautiful, a film that starts at the end of the world. Through film clips and a group chat between a wolf and his friends, we uncover who the human race were, and why they fizzled out.
