Shona Auerbach's new film 'Rudy' gets a week long run at Warwick Arts Centre this month as well as a Q&A screening at The Big Picture Festival in Stratford-upon-Avon in May. Shot in Coventry and Warwickshire several years ago, the film is finally enjoying the buzz and acclaim it deserves with more and more screenings being announced.

Stuck as a proxy parent to her younger siblings and dealing with a recent loss, the titular Rudy feels increasingly pushed out when her home gets opened up to a paying guest. Through a newfound friendship with a boy from Coventry, she discovers fun, freedom and autonomy, but is it at the sacrifice of unspoken family wounds?

Rudy is a poignant insight into love, loss and moving on.
