DEADLINE EXPIRED: PLEASE NOTE THIS IS AN ARCHIVED POST FROM THE 2015 FESTIVAL.

It's that time again where we're looking for your help to assist us with this year's festival. The full programme will be out in mid-Feb and it's shaping up to be an absolute corker with film screenings, live events, and a sprinkling of experimental art and music for good measure.

As a volunteer, you will be an essential part of Team Flatpack, gaining experience in all aspects of making the festival happen and meeting some interesting people along the way.

This year the festival takes place in venues across Birmingham from 19th - 29th March, and is jam packed with fantastic things to see and do. With so much going on we need volunteers to commit to a minimum of four shifts during the festival.

We realise some of you may be travelling to Birmingham for the festival for one of the weekends -  if so please let us know and we can help you find hostels or hotels near the action!

We're looking for people who are passionate about film, art, music and who want to help create the best Flatpack yet.  We have four different volunteer opportunities:

EVENTS TEAM Working at screenings and events at a variety of venues throughout the festival. Duties will vary depending on the venues, but usually include things like setting up venues, stewarding, helping to run the Flatpack box office, and helping out on our pop up cafe-bars.

INVIGILATION TEAM   The Doghouse is coming to Birmingham for its UK premiere and we are looking for a small team to be involved in running this interactive installation and  helping to instigate a short informal discussion at the end of the experience. This is a great opportunity to work first hand with the artist, who will guide you through the work. Find out more about the piece here: https://vimeo.com/104512220

MARKETING AND STREET TEAM We’re looking for dedicated volunteers to help fly the Flatpack flag in the run up to and during the festival. There will be opportunities to assist the marketing team with a range of tasks, including flyering, brochure distribution, feedback gathering, and providing tips and guidance to the festival audience.

Volunteers available before the festival will also have the opportunity to assist with preview events.

COLOUR BOX TEAM Volunteers for our family program held at mac birmingham. We will need help with setting up venues, ushering, box office and assisting the family workshop leaders.

If you are passionate about the Arts, out-going and keen to promote a growing cultural highlight in the UK calendar, please download the application form, save the file under your name and email the completed form to volunteers@flatpackfestival.org.uk.

The closing date for applications is Wednesday 11th February 2015.
