Imminent deadlines

Happy new year! Already festive indolence is a distant memory, and some key dates are looming. As you've probably noticed we launched a Kickstarter campaign before Christmas, and by 1 February we need to raise £7000 or we get nada. As well as your precious pledges, any help with spreading the word is of course much appreciated.

Before then, there's one more week exactly to submit your short film for consideration in the 2013 programme. This year we're accepting viewing links as well as DVDs, so if you're worried about a disc reaching us in time a password-protected URL is worth considering. All the info you need is on the submissions page.

...And coincidentally Monday 14 January is also the deadline for another Flatpack opportunity. We're looking for a couple of new people to join our board and help steer the organisation over the next three years. Principally the role involves advice and advocacy, and you'd need to attend four meetings per year. If you'd like to know more, further info can be found at the Independent Cinema Office website.

**Update** As you may have noticed, we've added an extra four days to the submissions deadline -- so D-Day is now Friday 18 January.
