There's another month or so until the full, bulging lineup for Flatpack 7 is unveiled, but we'll be releasing plenty of snippets on this blog in the meantime. Highlights to look out for include...

Dark, hypnotic live AV set by Demdike Stare, with a barrage of VHS horror as visuals;

Legendary filmmaking collective Shynola present a selection of their mould-breaking music videos, and talk about their long-awaited feature film The Red Men;

The return of free city-centre programme Film Bug, including solar-powered caravan-turned-picturehouse Sol Cinema;

Cut-out classic The Adventures of Prince Achmed with a live score, presented at the University of Birmingham's new Bramall Music Building;

Cult 3D obscurities including Soviet animation and Vincent Price chiller The Mad Magician;

One Mile Away, Penny Woolcock's candid new documentary on Birmingham's gang culture.

...And of course, the whole thing lasts ten days this year! More to come soon.

ps: Remember, there's 3 days left to submit your shorts...
