Silent Night

Flatpack's opening night back in March was a rollicking, rip-snorting evening of slapstick at Birmingham Cathedral. (If you don't believe us, ask them, and them.) When we were offered a chance to go back we didn't have to think about it for too long.

Once again silent comedy is on the menu, with Buster Keaton's last truly great film The Cameraman proving that if you give a monkey a camera amazing things can happen. Amongst the supporting shorts is a 1910 adaptation of A Christmas Carol from the Edison studio, which visits on Ebeneezer Scrooge some surprisingly spooky ghosts. At the piano is Brecon's finest Paul Shallcross, and various festive refreshments will be included in the ticket price. Details as follows...

Silent Night is supported by Colmore Business District, and as well as being a winter warmer in its own right it will also act as an appetiser for the return of Film Bug in March 2013. Flatpack stretching out to ten days next year means there will be a lot more room for this city-centre strand, and less of those infernal scheduling clashes.
