DanceXchange Support Screendance Award

After the success of our collaborative project Screendance Unpacked back in November, we’re delighted to be partnering with DanceXchange on another project - the Screendance Award at this year’s festival. DanceXchange are sponsoring the £500 cash prize that is up for grabs, and the winning short film will screen at both the 15th Flatpack Festival and Birmingham International Dance Festival later this year.

With this news in mind, we have decided to extend the deadline for Screendance submissions by two weeks, meaning you have until 11:59pm on Sunday 14 February to submit. You can submit here. All successful films will be screened in a programme of screendance short films, and the jury will select the most distinguished film for the prize.

We will continue to work with screendance filmmaker and curator Sima Gonsai on the selection process, and as ever, we're very grateful for her knowledge and expertise.
