The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) in partnership with ScreenWM is proud to present a screening of the nominated short animated films from the Orange British Academy Film Awards in 2009. The award is open to entries from the UK only, with hundreds of short films entered for selection each year and a BAFTA Jury made up of top industry professionals deciding the overall winner.  To find out more about the award and eligibility criteria, go to www.bafta.org.

CODSWALLOP (dir: Greg McLeod, Myles McLeod, 4mins) A subconscious drift through despair, frustration, joy and redemption, based on a series of surreal stream of consciousness postcards sent by Greg McLeod to his son.

VARMINTS (dir: Marc Craste, 24mins) In the face of overwhelming ubanization, indifference and recklessness, a small creature struggles to preserve a remnant of the peace he once knew.

WALLACE AND GROMIT: A MATTER OF LOAF AND DEATH (dir: Nick Park, 29mins) Wallace and Gromit have opened a new bakery business - Top Bun - but a deadly murderer is targeting all the bakers in town. Can Gromit discover the identity of the Cereal Killer before Wallace becomes the next victim?
