Bike Shorts

Sunday 4th February, 2007

MAC | 13:30

After the brilliant turnout for Train Shorts last year, we thought we’d see if cogs and spokes turned you on as much as steam. The films are again a mixture of old and new, kicking off with

Boy and Bicycle from 1958. This lyrical BFI-funded black and white short was directed by a young Ridley Scott and stars an even younger Tony Scott (when Top Gun was barely a glimmer in his eye). More recent treats include the handmade zoetrope film (dir: Eric Dyer) and (dir: Rachel Meyrick), filmed at one of the notorious Black Label Bike Club meetings in Brooklyn.

Dir: Various (approx. 70 mins)
