Build Your Own Festival

Putting on festivals is incredibly rewarding, but in a packed cultural calendar it can be hard work standing out from the crowd. If you're thinking about setting up your own event, or even just applying for work in the festivals sector, this special Ideastap spa event will provide you with a bagful of useful pointers and tools. From the glamorous world of programming and artist liaison to the nitty-gritty of risk-assessments and ticketing systems, we aim to cover all the bases in half a day and will welcome some special guests to provide inspiration and answer your questions.

Speakers include Ian Francis (Flatpack Festival), Rosie Cooper (Project Curator, Liverpool Biennial) and Jon Walsh (Co-founder, Shambala Festival), and the whole day will be hosted by Alex McCorkindale. Lunch is provided!
