Who Is Bozo Texino?

Feat. Coaltrain; Herby; Colossus of Roads; The Rambler
Over a period of 16 years Bill Daniel shot reams of super 8 and 16mm while riding the rails of the United States. He was on the trail of Bozo Texino - the artist who left his infinity-hatted motif crayoned on countless box-cars across the country - and all the other railroad graffitists who have made their mark over the years. In some ways Bozo is just a hook, a MacGuffin; the real pleasure of the film is the view of a huge, not-quite-tamed America it offers from the rattling carriages, and the honesty of those fellow travellers who Daniel meets along the way. Packs a lot of space into less than an hour.
Showing with Ah, Liberty! (dir: Ben Rivers) a beautiful short film which shows kids rampaging on a junkyard in a remote part of Scotland.
