Habib Ali
Born a stone’s throw away from Villa Park, Birmingham has always been a place I return to. American comic shops, the museum, oily curries on Coventry Road – I have so many stories to tell about the city. Similarly, I have always returned to art and design. Making my own comics, sketching at the museum, spilling oily curry on my sketchpad – visual art has always been one of my passions. I am also fascinated by languages. I studied Arabic Music at the School of Oriental and African Studies during which time I lived in London and Palestine. Soon after, I returned to visual art and returned to Birmingham and have since contributed to a number of heritage projects in the city. My work encompasses a range of disciplines including illustration, 3D design and experience design, all of which are focussed on telling stories which engage, inform and inspire.
Dream Cinema
My dream cinema is mobile - it flies from place to place and unexpectedly lands, bringing the best films from around the world.
