A Cinema of Poetry

If you missed it the first time, here's a second chance to see the spoken word programme co-created by The GAP's Culture Collective, showcasing films from the poets of Birmingham and Beyond.

In a nod to the GAP’s role as one of Balsall Heath’s key community hubs, the films explore the importance of communal spaces, friendship, and connection with city and place.

This time around we'll also have some live spoken word performances from Brum based poets Zakariye Abdillahi and Nafeesa Hamid who both have films featuring in the programme. As a special added extra, we'll also end with an open mic section for anyone wanting to share their own poetry.

There will be a limited number of open mic slots available on the night so please arrive promptly to let us know if you would like to perform.

This will also be one of the last opportunities to explore Balsall Heath's Living Room at Moseley Road Baths, with the installation closing on the 30th September.
