Film Camp is designed to gather film exhibitors from across the Midlands to share their wealth of experience, collectively exploring fresh approaches to programming and audience development.

The event is open to everyone - from multi-screen venues and festivals to community cinema organisers and student film groups.

Harness the power of partnerships to transform your programme and reach new audiences. Whether you're a festival, independent cinema or pop-up we’ve got you covered. This session includes case studies from Jiten Anand (Inspirate, the team behind An Indian Summer Film Festival), Lucy Askew (Broadway Cinema, Nottingham) and Jaye Bullen (TGirlsonFilm).

13:00-14:30 Networking Play Space
Back by popular demand, the Play Space is a networking event where exhibitors make connections via play and creative activities.This year you can have a go at a new Brum-centric gaming experience, try your hand at stop motion animation, make your own Bollywood film poster or test your luck at the Tombola!

14:30-16:00 Green Screens: Environmental Sustainability for Community Exhibitors
Do you want to learn more about how you can take action against the climate crisis and create a greener, more environmental conscious cinema? Join Abi and Ellie from Cinema For All for a special session that breaks down the facts of climate change, its causes and impacts and learn five top tips for how you can cut carbon emissions at your screenings.

This session is for anybody that screens films or is thinking about screening films and wants to combine this with being more mindful to our environment.

14:30-16:00 What is Audio Description?
Join us for a conversation between partially sighted photographer, Karren Visser and audio describer Elaine Lillian Joseph. They’ll discuss different creative options for audio description on the screen and in galleries. Plus, try your hand at writing audio description yourself.

16:00-17:00 Networking Drinks
Join us for a drink to round off the day and a chance to catch up with your fellow exhibitors.
