It’s true at Flatpack you’ll find films from all across the globe, but that doesn’t mean we forget about all the incredible talent found a little closer to home.

This year’s Midlands shorts programme includes a dystopian thriller set on a Birmingham estate. A documentary about Houdini (but no, not that Houdini). And a comedy-drama about those intrusive thoughts you just can’t seem to shake. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg.
