Tonight, he takes us behind the scenes of his Birmingham-set debut feature, Lotus, with a selection of sneak-peek clips. It’s the perfect primer for the feature he’s picked: a rare big-screen outing for the film that redefined the genre, The Raid.
Set almost entirely within a decaying Jakarta tenement block, the film follows an elite SWAT team as they fight their way up floor-by-floor against a literal army of criminals, trading shaky-cam clichés for long, crystal-clear takes of some of the most inventive choreography ever put to film.
