A cult, campy Grand Guignol staging of Mary Shelley’s Promethean parable, Flesh for Frankenstein was filmed in Italy at Cinecitta Studios by Warhol Factory legend Paul Morrissey.
Featuring a full-throttle, career defining performance from then unknown Udo Kier (as possibly the first horror protagonist whose downfall is due to poor gaydar?), the production utilised the Space-Vision 3-D process allowing for more intense, extreme dimensional effects - with blood and gore landing squarely in your lap!
After almost fifty years of only being available in diminished, 2D form on home video, the film was finally restored in 2021 to its full, bloody three-dimensional glory by the 3-D Film Archive.
Presented with a new live score by LARVA (The Mask 3D, La Jetée) in tribute to the recently departed Udo Kier and director Morrissey who died in 2024.
