There’s no one way to be queer, and no one way to tell a queer story.
Bridging animation, documentary and experimental fiction, this programme merely scratches the surface of the sheer breadth of the queer experience.
Dirty Care confronts the question of which bodies are “allowed” to be violent through non-normative women learning to fight. The Eating of an Orange explores how a simple piece of fruit can lead to enormous revelations. Water Sports sees two schoolboys trying to find a quiet place for a kiss during an apocalyptic drought.
If you think these films sound like they have nothing in common, you’d be right - and that’s kind of the point.
