Flatpack 2023: Submissions Open!

Submissions for Flatpack no.17 are now open.

It's that time of year again - we're now accepting short film submissions for Flatpack Festival 2023. As always, we're after all types and genres of short films - all selected submissions will be featured in our 2023 programme (16-21 May 2022) and we're a BAFTA-qualifying festival, so successful submissions could go on to win a BAFTA.

What can I submit?

Films need to be completed after January 2021 and must be under 20 minutes long.

How do I submit?

We use the platform Film Freeway - just scroll to the bottom of this page and click the big ol’ Film Freeway button.

Is there a cost?

Submission fees for short films are £21 before 11 December and £26 after.

Are there cash prizes?

Yes indeed! Five in fact - ranging from £300 to £1,000 for the Short Film Award.

When do I need to submit by?

Earlybird deadline is 11:59pm, Sunday 11 December 2022 and the final deadline is 11:59pm, Sunday 15 January 2023.
