Flatpack 2024: Submissions Open!

Submit your short film to the eighteenth Flatpack Festival.

Planning for Flatpack no.18 (10-19 May 2024) is well underway, and we're now accepting all types and genres of short films to be considered for the 2024 programme. We are a BAFTA Qualifying Festival, so not only will successful submissions earn a place in our shorts programme - they could also go on to win a BAFTA!

FAQ’s

What can I submit?

Films need to be completed after January 2022 and must be under 20 minutes long.

How do I submit?

We use the platform Film Freeway - just scroll to the bottom of this page and click the big ol’ Film Freeway button.

Is there a cost?

Submission fees for short films are £21 before 10 December and £26 after.

Are there cash prizes?

Yes indeed! Five in fact - ranging from £300 to £1,000 for the Short Film Award.

When do I need to submit by?

Earlybird deadline is 11:59pm, Sunday 10 December 2023 and the final deadline is 11:59pm, Sunday 21 January 2024.
