Time to Submit for Flatpack 10

Thursday 29th October, 2015

A year compressed into 365 second-long animated days. A ghostly figure dances through a hauntingly beautiful world of violence and wonder. A bunless hot-dog runs riot, a young girl travels through time and space with her future (cloned) self and the voices of those at the brink of emergency plead for help…

We’ve screened some wonderfully diverse and original shorts over the last few years. Previously animation, experimental film, music and documentary have proved popular, but the main focus of the shorts programme is eclecticism. We’re looking for stuff that pushes the boundaries. Don’t feel limited - harness the full potential of your creative ideas, and if your film doesn’t quite fit into a traditional screening format, get in touch and tell us about it, and we’ll let you know whether it’s suitable to submit: submissions@flatpackfestival.org.uk.

There are five awards to be won, and a £1000 prize for the winner of the Short Film Award. If you’re in it to win it you can take inspiration from previous festivals: 2015, 2014 and 2013. All successful submissions will be included in the programme of Flatpack no.10, which runs from 18th - 24th April 2016.

Submissions need to be under twenty minutes and viewable online. For more details, and to submit, click here. And above all else, please, continue to surprise us...
