Two notes that strike fear and excitement into the hearts of cinema goers everywhere. And just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water… Beware the Moon is back! We will once again turn the magnificent Dudley Castle into an open air cinema for your delight and enjoyment.
The film
When a killer shark unleashes chaos on a beach community off Long Island, a local sheriff, a marine biologist and a grizzled old sea captain team up to hunt the beast down, engaging in an epic battle of man vs. nature. The thriller released in June of 1975 became the first true summer blockbuster and won three Academy Awards, including one for John Williams’ iconic score.
Beware the Moon
You might already know the drill with Beware the Moon events by now, but in case you need a reminder – there will be hot food, a licensed bar, mood-lighting & special effects, and a surprise or two thrown in for good measure. Don’t forget to bring along a chair and/or a blanket.
The screening is part of a Beware the Moon double bill, with The Wicker Man screening on Saturday 5 August.
