CineQ: Closet Monster

Winner of ‘Best Canadian Feature Film’ at the 2015 Toronto International Film Festival, Closet Monster is a coming-out story with a twist.

Protagonist Oscar (Connor Jessup) escapes childhood trauma, his parents, and his hometown by locking himself in a fantasy world of his own making (together with his pet hamster Buffy - voiced by Isabella Rossellini). But when a new love threatens his asexuality, Oscar is forced to confront reality in order to move forward with his life and fulfill his dreams.
