CineCov presents... Open Air Screening: The Italian Job

Saturday 7th August

Coventry Cathedral | 19:00

If you’re a fan of a good car chase scene The Italian Job has got to be up there in your top ten. But did you know that the Mini’s maneuvers through the tunnels of Turin were actually filmed in huge sewer pipes in Stoke Aldermoor, Coventry?

Over 50 years on, this special event will revisit the classic British crime caper in the beautiful surroundings of the Coventry Cathedral Ruins.

The screening is presented by CineCov in partnership with MotoFest Coventry. Taking inspiration from the film, they’ll be inviting film-fans and motoring enthusiasts alike to step back in time with a spectacular stunt that’ll blow the bloody doors off - please note, due to Covid restrictions the stunt activity has been postponed until 2022.

This event is presented by CineCov in partnership with MotoFest Coventry. CineCov is a year-long programme of screenings and film events that will transform the city into a cinema. Visit our CineCov page for more details.

CineCov is brought to you by Flatpack on behalf of Film Hub Midlands with support from the BFI using funds from the National Lottery.
