Build Your Own Cinema Workshop #2: Ancient Egypt
Did you know that the Great Pyramid of Giza is the largest human-made building in the world? We've had loads of fun learning all about Ancient Egypt with primary school pupils in Coventry for the first of this year's Build Your Own Cinema workshops.
Facilitator Martin McNally worked with pupils at Earlsdon Primary to create some excellent educational animated films. Pupils applied their knowledge of Ancient Egypt and created a hypnotic visual tapestry using post it notes, illustrations and commentary to explain some interesting facts about ancient Egyptian rituals and customs. Pupils also learned basic animation techniques and the results are very impressive.
"Thanks for the animation - the children were so excited to see their work. We enjoyed them so much we had to watch them a number of times! Thank you Flatpack and CineCov". - Year 3 teachers, Louise Wale and Olivia Hartwell
Check out the finished films and some behind the scenes photos below. Congratulations to everyone who participated in the workshop!
