Oh Dear Video Diary

Monday 17th December, 2018

Dear readers,

Remember in our last post, we told you that we’ve added two new categories to the mix? As well as live performances, we’re throwing it back to our 2016 event, Oh Dear Diary. We got you to expose your childhood crushes and teenage dramas, as we all bonded through a good laugh.

Well, we’ve been inspired by Oh Dear Diary again. But instead of reading your diary pages, this time we’re asking you, the incredibly brave, to rummage through your attics and submit the cringey home videos you made in your teens. Selected clips will be screened in front of an audience, and we’d like you to talk a little about it beforehand.

'Why would I ever do that voluntarily', you might say? Other than making for a great bonding and therapeutic exercise, as Oh Dear Diary’s mantra states, it’s mostly because it’s funny. But don’t worry - no one will be laughing at you. We’ve all been there, doing humiliating things as kids and teens, so you’re not alone. The spotlight will be shared amongst others showing their clips and Richard Soames, the event compere who'll also be presenting some of his own embarrassing old material.

Have you been keeping your Stanley Kubrick skills under wraps? If so, then get those visual masterpieces out of the dark and let us see what you’ve got! You've got until 11:59pm, Sunday 20th January 2019.

Click here to find out more information and how to submit your videos to Oh Dear Video Diary.

P.S. There’s no pressure! You’re not committing to anything by submitting, until we agree your work should be selected and we’ve talked everything through
